This service fits coils for women with heavy menstrual bleeding and pessaries for women that are experiencing discomfort down below your GP may refer you for a pessary fitting.

You will be seen by a GP with a special interest in gynaecology and a specific qualification and experience in fitting coils.

Pathways and Additional Services

HRT Treatment: Patients requiring Hormone Replacement Therapy will be offered a follow-up appointment with our specialist Menopause GP.
Prolapse Management: Internal referral to our dedicated Pessary Clinic.
Mirena Coil Insertion: Internal referral to our specialist Coil Clinic.
Additional Interventions: Patients requiring a DEXA scan, or management of hypertension or diabetes, will be referred appropriately.

Eligibility Criteria

All women experiencing perimenopausal or post-menopausal symptoms, or those seeking menopause-related advice, are eligible.(only registered patients with the surgery)
